An average marine makes (earns/gets) $35,000 a year
6000 marine means 6000 X 35000, which equals to 210,000,000
Now for 10 years, so is a decade, then it'd be 2,100,000,000 roughly
So then, 2.5 billion is not a lot of wealth actually
If somebody top of the society, high level, hiarch and makes 150 million a year? I would feel unpleased
(counting in trust funds, "company money", other liquidable stuff, and such)
